Developed in 1972, triple yahtzee is similar to the regular yahtzee except that the former makes use of three scoring columns per game, instead of only one for the regular game. In this variation, each player has three chances to score per category.
In the first scoring column, the scores are added up, but in the second and third columns, the scores are doubled and tripled, respectively. Therefore, it is better to have high scores in the third column.
